Just wondering if we actually get to go into places rather than see the outside of the building or do we have to do that on "free time" such as driving past the the Eiffel Tower do we stop and go up to the lookout or wait 10 mins whilst people run out of the bus and get a few snaps with the tower in the background??

Generally the tours will show you where the major sights are and take you there on occassions.

Most sightseeing is done during your free time. However, when we were in Paris we all went together to the Eiffel Tower as a group with out tour manager with us.
