Grand Canyon Flooding info

28 Aug 2008 MJ said

The part of the Grand canyon that was flooded and devistated by recent heavy rains is NOT at the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. The flooding happened where the falls are at Havasupai where the village and sky walk are which IS NOT in the Grand Canyon National park. If you are visiting the South Rim of the Grand Canyon you will be fine. If you are taking a helicopter flight from Las Vegas to the falls you will NOT be able to do that until next year.

Please referr to National Park Services to get the story straight. If anyone has questions please let me know.

The helicopter 25 and 45 mins are only available at the south rim. As far as I know. They are done through Maverick or Papillion. The heli hiki adventure is the one that you won’t be able to do which is at the west rim usually departs from Las Vegas.

Hey Matty any clarification on this???

Hi, just wanted to clarify. Does that mean all three helicopter options will be unavaliable or just the all day option? Your advice on this is much appreciated – thanks
