I am planning on doing the Grand Southern in 2008 and was wondering when is the best time to do it? What is the weather like... I would probably prefer the cooler months. Any help would be great

  I went on the GS in December and it was COLD but bearable (if you’re a winter person)!
  
  I actually had a good mix of weather (I thought); in LA before the tour it was about 25 degrees, throughout the tour it probably averaged about 10 but then we had the extremes too. In the Grand Canyon it was -12 and in Colorado -19 (with the wind chill). In NY it was probably around 0.
  
  If you’re ok with winter then go towards the end of the year, it also gives you a good chance to check out xmas in another part of the world!
