Just wanted to compare prices from SYD to JFK? What's the cheapest you've ever bought? I'm currently looking into flights in July 2013. I've found return tickets for $1570 and was wondering if I should buy these now or can I wait till closer to the date...

Thats Fairly cheap. I booked flights from Perth to NYC and it cost me $3000 return in January flying with Qatar.

$1570 rtn is a good deal to JFK, when I went over that way almost ten years ago it cost me just over $2000 to fly from Melbourne to JFK, so yeah great deal and I would take them at that cost!!
