Guesthouse/B&B near Royal National

Can anyone recommend a good guesthouse / bed & breakfast / budget hotel that's near to the Royal National hotel? I tried to book at the Royal National but they dont accept American Express cards, and I want to be close by so that its not a mission to get to the Royal for the start of my tour.
