UK Mobile contract for non resident - Help/Advice

I am living in London after my Contiki tour for 2 years. i need to set-up a mobile contract as soon as I arrive before my tour starts. As I will have no credit rating this is near on impossible. I have heard some carriers like Vodafone will allow you to set-up one up but you need to leave a 100GBP deposit, which they refund back after 3 months. does anyone know of any other carriers that do the same?
