LA and San Francisco

Hi! Me and four friends are going to LA and San Francisco in June. I was wondering if there's somebody who'd like to give us some advices or tips or so. It is the first time for me visiting the US. So advices would really come in use. We're four swedish girls and we would sure like to know which places we should avoid to not get eaten alive.. And also the places we really shouldn't miss.
