Sailing Tours

Anyone here that's done a sailing tour? I'm looking at Turkey and Croatia trips but have never been on a cruise or been out sailing more than night. What would you say are the pluses and minuses of a sailing tour? Did you find you had enough space/comfort on the boat? Thanks.
