Paris - 'Tour of Illuminations'

Hi,
My boyfriend and I are doing the European Contrasts in may this year and there is an included 'Tour of illuminations' tour. I was just wondering what this involves as we are thinking of doing a Moulin Rouge + Seine Cruise tour the following night, which includes a night sight seeing tour, but if we do it with contiki then maybe not worth the money?
