Which european trip is the best?
28 Jan 2013 kippingj asked
Basically I have July and August off and I am having trouble figuring out which European trip to go on. I have tried to compare all of the different trips but I am still lost! It would be my first trip to Europe and I would be going alone!
Any help?

To be honest, people are just going to come in here and say that the tour they went on is the best…lol
You can’t go wrong with any tour, really. It all depends what you’re looking to get out of it and what you want to see.

I was wondering the same thing, then in the end just went with what suited me best, and figured that all the tours would be fun and offer something different. I’ll be alone and it’ll be my first trip to Europe as well. I just picked the tour that I personally thought sounded cool and had some spots in it it I’d love to see! I think you have to look at your taste for the type of accommodation, I’m going time out because I don’t want to camp or be in cabins that have four people in them.
It will also depend on how long you want to go, i was planning for years to go on the longest possible trip I could (I was even willing to bend on accommodation for this), but then i realised that I only have time to be away over European winter and the really long tours don’t run then. I want to have full days in most cities.I thought i would go on the winter wanderer because it is a long winter tour (24days, but this is nothing compared to summer tours) but for the three extra days it has on the European Vista the only extra place they visit is Barcelona and I don’t really want to go there. The European Vista with all the extras budgeted in will cost the same as the Wanderer does with no extras budgeted in.
If I can save enough I want to go on a tour of Scotland that leaves the day after the Vista gets back. For absolutely everything I’m budgeting $12000-$13000, including spending and food.
