I also want to know the same thing!! I really want to travel in Brazil while the world cup is on… and the tours I have looked at that are on at that time don’t mention anything about watching the games. Let me know if you find out anything!

I am considering doing the 25 day Adventurer (7June – 1 July 2014) and going to the World Cup match on the 28th of June in Rio (the dates link up to the day the tour arrives in Rio). But haven’t seen that Contiki are doing groups to the games – maybe it hasn’t been released yet but not long till tickets are on sale!

hi again. ya i saw rio looks very nice. i head though, that its going to cost about 500 dollars a day for just small things like food or drinks and stuff. when the world cup was in south africa prices of everything went up dramatically so im expecting the same in brazil during the world cup. and i think fifa holds the right to selling tickets and all accomodation around all the stadiums during the world cup. i went onto thier website and even the most budget hotel which looked ugly was waaaaayyyy to expensive. i dont know. i guess ill see rio another time. for now ill just focus of vietnam and mexico. @marcella – shoooo, no ways, 25 days is too long. i dont think i would get leave from work for that long, even if i had it. the most is about 2.5 weeks.

Mo! What’s going on? I was trying to find info on Costa Rica tour and I found your post lol. Brazil would be sick, especially with the world cup going on.
We should have stayed in Thailand…

I am a 19 year old Canadian looking to go to the world cup. I preferably would like to stay in Rio throughout the whole of the tournament but that is not my concern. My concern is that I have NOBODY to go with! I have been trying to research tours where people from all over the world meet up and experience the world cup together but I can`t find anything. Hopefully Contiki organizes some kind of tour so Football fans between the ages of 18-35 can experience the world cup together!

Hey, I 100% agree with you but I have searched and found nothing. If contiki was going to do a tour like that, especially for the World Cup, I would assume they would’ve already advertised it?? I have resorted to my original plan and just hope I get my World Cup tickets now :-)

The contiki tour dosent include tickets to any games, apparently its just warning you about being more expensive / less accommodation ect.
If anyone’s doing any of these tours join the FB group :) if anyone’s interested we could maybe organise to go to a game as a group
Contiki The Latin Quest 26/5/14, Galapagos & Andes 26/5/14, The Adventurer (Start Lima) 7/6/14, The Explorer 13/6/14, Inca Panorama 14/7/14, Peru Uncovered 14/7/14, Argentina & Brazil Experience (Start Buenos Aires) 2014 23/6/14
