Hi Zhenya,
I found this info for you, depending on where you’re going in New Zealand will depend on the weather. As a general rule the South Island is colder than the North and the wind can get quite cold.
We will be travelling in autumn which means the weather is changeable and unpredictable, especially when you are in mountainous regions.
While the temperatures are not as high as they are during summer – they range between 6-12 and 20-27 degrees Celsius or 40-50 and 68-80 Fahrenheit depending on where you are in the country – you won’t require a thick winter jacket in autumn.
However, it is always good to walk with warm clothing such as a fleece sweater or jacket, just in case it suddenly gets cold. Rain is very common in autumn, so also carry a rain jacket this is a must. My friend lived in NZ and said a good rain jacket is essential.
I hope this helps.
