Paying off airfares, seats on planes & luggage queries!

28 Oct 2006 becw83 said

I have a few different things on my mind...

I have booked a flight to london (leaving in 8 weeks) should i be starting to pay it off now or just wait till it is due. My family is worried that if i start paying it off now, ill lose the money if i decide not to go (not that thats going to happen!). How long before the trip do you usually need to have it all paid?

If i want an aisle seat, do i let my travel agent know, or do they organise it at the airport?

I know these are qns i should ask my travel agent but they are always closed when i have time to call them!

Also, because i will be living in london for a couple of years and doing some contiki tours, not sure if i should take a big suitcase or one of those back packs/wheels thingys. Anyone have anything they recommend? I guess i can always buy something over there for the tours if i need to.
