What to pack for Contiki winter

I am going on a Contiki tour this winter thru europe. If the luggage we are supposed to take pretty limited in size. How are we supposed to fit all of our sweaters and jackets in a small suitcase? Does anyone have any suggestions on what to take or how to pack? Is the suitcase really that small?
