  not sure about the id thing but you will have your passport to use as id. and i know from melbourne to london is about $2500 return. it shouldn’t be much difference from sydney. look on the flight centre or harvy world travel websites for more acurate costs

  as for ID, passport at all times, also take a photocopy of drivers licence, passport, insurance documents, medicare card, bank cards put into luggage just in case. Also phone numbers of bank (in case you lose your card), hotels you are staying at etc
