Video Camera Advice on Models...please

Hi I'm looking a buying a small video camera to take away next month on my European Inspiration. I know that I want one that can take still pics if I need to and one that uses the mini tapes not DVD or hard disk, I don't really want anything too fancy - just something simple, easy to use, small and light weight.
A couple of the models I have looked at are:
Sony DCRHC38
Panasonic NVGS60
Canon MD160
JVC DVGR-D750
Is anyone able to offer any advice on these models or any others they know are good?
