  I went on the GS in Jan 2008, and I can’t really remember all the distances between stops, but I can tell you that there were definitely some long driving days (8hrs or so) and some shorter ones. The long days were few and far between from what I remember…. and most took the opportunity to catch up on sleep. The TM also led some great games on the bus that also passed the time.
  
  On all of the tours I have been on, they try to break up the trip by stopping every 2-3 hours at sights along the way, or at least for a break for a washroom and snack stop.
