I don't want to bother bringing a sleeping bag from home and lugging it around after my trip so how much does one cost when you buy it at the contiki basement? And it was just a sleeping bag we needed not a pillow as well, right?
Thanks!

HI Matty I was wondering would you be able to reserve a sleeping bag for me , so i can buy the sleeping bag when I arrive at the basement.
Another question is there a shuttle service or something similar from Heathrow airport to the Royal National Hotel Contiki Basement?
    Thanks

    Sleeping bags are new.

Easiest & most economical way is to take the Tube direct from below Heathrow to Russel Square Tube station.

Alina, u dont need to have a sleeping bag reserved for you. just go down and buy it from the basemend when u get there.

Donna, i just got back from my trip and i had bought a contiki sleeping bag. they are really good.. totally worth the 20 pounds i reckon! they arent small though.. i doubt u would be able to fit it in your suitcase but you dont need to while you are on tour. you can just leave them seperate and i gave mine away to a homeless guy when i was done with it as i didnt need to take it home with me on the plane! lol.
and yes they are still 20 pounds. or atleast they were when i bought one last month!

If you want to risk it, you can pick up sleeping bags while on tour.

So many people accidentaly leave them behind in the morning rush that the campsites have heaps of them just hanging around in storage.

I thought I lost mine mid way through my tour and I was shown a storeroom with about 50 sleeping bags “Please take two” I was told hehe.

Turned out a friend had just picked up my sleeping bag off the bus without me noticing.
