Most of the hotels I visited did not have internet connections. However it’s not like Europe is short on WiFi hotspots.
But really, is there a good reason for you to bring a laptop? What benefit do you hope to get out of it? Why lug around an expensive, stealable item when you can spend a couple of euros and go into and internet cafe when you need it?
To me it is worth the peace of mind to have most of my valuables safe at home and the minimum amount with me on vacation.
Also, if you do bring a laptop, make sure you securely clean off any “adult” material because what’s legal in one country (especially the US) can get you in deep trouble in another country. In some situations it is legal for customs or police to search the contents of your computer.- 0 people like this

Unless it is essential, for business reasons or the like leave it at home. There internet cafes everywhere in Europe

kevin it doesn’t sound like you’re a good candidate for taking your laptop. If you do you should be willing to carry it around most of the time. You would rarely have to, but there are times when it’s not safe to leave it anywhere else.
