Not sure but in Italy if you use a credit card in some shops they ask for photo ID when you use it… keep your passport with you

When I used my credit card I didn’t sign once and mine doesn’t have a chip, they just check your ID so like Danki said just make sure you always have your passport with you!

Pin is the only one accepted and because of security is much safer

In some places cards with pins are the only card accepted, but most places accept cards without pins.
