Can you buy double AA Batteries in Europe?

I can't decide rather to bring rechargeable batteries or just bring a box of batteries from home? But I need to know if I do run out I can purchase them from there?

AA are found world wide … however, i suggest bringing 3 sets of rechargeables so you’ll never have a camera with dead batteries. I assume this is for a camera?
