Transfer in Barcelona - Safe??

Hi,

i will be doing two tours in europe. YAY. hahaha

I will be flying to barcelona during the morning. then i will be getting a cab with my luggage and what not on my own.

I am male 24. But last night my sister was telling me barcelona is notorious for theft.
and kind of freaking me out. lol

Would i be ok getting a taxi to my hotel in spain. Like am i stressing to much??

any reassurances would be appreciated. )

  Barcelona is definitely famous for theft and scams. Check out street scams in Barcelona.
  
  I think by taking a taxi, you are avoiding most scams except the overcharging taxi driver or the driver that takes the expensive, scenic route.
