    quote:
Day 9: Munich to Venice. Today we travel south through Austria and the astonishing beauty of the Brenner Pass to cross the border into Italy. Tonight we stay on the mainland of Venice. (B,D)

Day 10: Venice. A short boat ride takes us into the historical centre of Venice to see St Mark’s Square, the Bridge of Sighs and the Doges’ Palace. Ample time to wander the bustling streets, see the skill required to create local crafts such as Venetian glass and fine lace and visit one of the many amazing musuems. Why not treat yourself to a gondola ride and evening meal with your fellow travellers as a perfect end to your Venetian experience? (B)

Day 11: Venice to Florence. We wind through the Apennine Mountains towards the gorgeous region of Tuscany. We visit Pisa to see the world-famous Leaning Tower and Baptistry. This evening enjoy the chance to stroll through the streets of this most spectacular of Renaissance cities, Florence. (B,D)

You will only be visiting Venice for 1 full day. Day 9 you arrive, have dinner in the hotel or close to it – you are NOT in Venice and NOR will you see it today. Venice is an island all to itself (satellite photo). Day 10 is a full day in Venice – and it does take a full day and ends with the optional dinner. Day 12 you are already on the road to Florence in the morning.

All the tours are very fast paced. Maybe see Rome after the tour on your own as Natka mentioned.

Don’t worry, Impressions is a very good tour – you spend 2 nights in each location which is excellent. Not as fast paced as the one night stops which is crazy. And you get to see Brussels – I think that’s a first, I don’t think any other tour goes there.
