Mobile phone use in USA
I am doing California Highlights and LA Explorer in August and I want to take my smart phone. I have saved a lot of websites to it that I want to use while I'm over there and want to use the camera on the phone too.
Can anyone tell me if I can get a SIM card in the USA that will work in my phone (the phone is not locked to a network)? I have done a bit of research and most things I've read online say to purchase a "throw away" phone, a cheapie with a preloaded SIM (or possibly on the CDMA network). This is not ideal for what I want to use the phone for.
Can anyone tell me if it's possible to get a prepaid SIM card for my phone whilst in the USA?

Last time we were in the US we went into T-mobile and you can buy a sim card for a month with unlimited data and calls. It was around $50 I think. It was very handy. If you are staying longer than a month, then you can add another month. It was a little while ago that we done this, so don’t quote me on it. hehehe, but I’m pretty sure that is what it was.
