More Tour and Travel Advice for Europe
We’re the original travel company for 18-35s – it’s what we know best and no one does travel like we do. For us, travelling is all about discovering amazing places with a bunch of like-minded people and having a great time doing it. Our aim is to make your trip a life changing adventure so we’ve dedicated ourselves to specialising in the art of travel for 18-35s. Because we’ve been on the road since ’62 we have perfected it, just for you.
It is possible to travel With Contiki on European Tours if you are 17 years old only if you are traveling with a legal guardian who is 18-35. A waiver must however be signed by both the legal guardian on tour as well as the legal guardian/parent/s of the underage participant. This waiver can be obtained through your travel agent or by contacting Contiki.

Hi, I am 17 and I am interested in going on the Winter Wanderer Tour in November-December 2013. However I turn 18 in March 2014 and I want to travel alone for this trip. (My guardian may not be able to accompany me). Am I still able to go on this tour without a guardian at the date I said above if my parents sign the waiver etc?

Place on with this write-up, I actually think this internet website requires a great deal more awareness. Ill likely be back again once again to read via extra, thanks for the tips!

Question: My daughter is graduating from high school in 2012. She will be 18 the end of May. Exactly how wild and how chaperoned (if at all) are the European trips? Any and all answers are appreciated!

Hi, just wanted to know if it is possible for me to go onto a european trip with contiki, my friends and i have looked at a trip for this summer. By this summer my friends will all be 18 (and 4months) old. I, on the other hand will not, i will still be 17. Will i still be able to go on the trip?
Thanx

hi i have a quick question? i have read through similar pages regarding age restrictions but wanted to actually post my situation just to clarify. my sister and i are in our early twenties and would love to take our mother over to ireland for her first trip. Upon discovering this site we immediently felt the energy and ethusiasm and fell in love, we want to pick a tour however due to our circumstances we wouldnt be able to go till we finish uni…which would then make my mum a very young, highly spirited (and healthy)50. obviously this is waaay out of the age range so i understand if it is not allowed but if this is the case what is another tour organisation that has the same atmosphere and is by no means simply made up of retirees? please help smila_jack@hotmail.com

I’m 17 and my friend and I wanted to leave for the European Experience trip on August 1st of this year. The thing is that August 1st is her 18th birthday. We understand that in order for us to go together, the waiver must be signed. But are we allowed to leave the day she turns 18? Can she sign the waiver while she is 17?? Or do we need to leave after her birthday??? We want to go so badly!

I’m 36 and took my first (solo) Contiki trip, European Encounter, in April 2007. Our bus was full, the energy was high and it was the best three weeks of my year! Age really is a mind set. Remember when you get on the bus everyone already has at least one thing in common…a love of travel. I met the most incredible people that I still keep in touch with. I’m currently booking two more Contiki trips!
