Keukenhof Gardens

People travel from all over Europe to see the Keukenhof Gardens just south of Amsterdam are the old Dutch Royal kitchen gardens that nowadays have been transformed into the world largest flower gardens. Open to the public for only eight weeks a year (usually around Easter) they are located just south of Amsterdam and if you’ve ever dreamed of seeing endless fields filled with carpets of tulips and flowers, this is it.

Queens Day

Queens Day is the Dutch national day and is celebrated on the 30th of April every year. The biggest public holiday in Netherlands and one of the least known, but also biggest parties you are every likely to see, not only Europe, but the whole world. If you are lucky enough to be in the city for this momentous and raucous celebration, strap on as much orange as you can find and get ready for the ride.
