byron bay lighthouse

Byron Bay is the most easterly point in Australia. This is a real hot spot on the East Coast and is definitely a must see. It is renowned for its laid back, hippy atmosphere. It is very cool! Check out the amazing coastal views from the lighthouse first.

If you are lucky, you’ll see dolphins playing in the waves or whales migrating north. When the group heads into town, you find loads of funky little cafes and shops. The beach is right there if you want a quick swim as well.

Byron Bay is a stop for many Contiki Tours traveling along the east coast of Australia heading north from Coffs Harbour or south from the Surfers Paradise.
