The Rydges Esplanade in Cairns, Australia is the hotel most used by Contiki in Cairns and is the start/finish point for Contiki Australia Tours beginning or ending in Cairns.
To get to the hotel, take a taxi from the airport to the hotel. Taxis cost roughly A$12 and the journey takes roughly 10 minutes.

Itter was one of the nicest town's I've ever been in, absolutely gorgeous. It's a sleepy town, but on Contiki you bring your own nightlife. This was one stop I wont forget.
For ladies I would definitely recommend finding some slightly nicer than normal black flats... I bought some in Prague for super cheap and still wear them all the time!
My advice would be to do as many excursions as you can. They are a great way to get to know your group, and they are always good fun.
