California

Just mentioning the ‘Golden State’ conjures up images of beaches, Baywatch, the OC, glitz, glamour and Hollywood movie stars. No trip to the United States could ever be considered complete without visiting the wonders of the west coast.
Although the capital is Sacramento (home of the ‘Governator’ Arnold Schwarzenegger), the biggest city is Los Angeles, the home of Hollywood, Beverly Hills, Santa Monica, Venice Beach and the ‘Walk of Fame’ while further south, though Anaheim and ‘The OC’ is San Diego, a beautiful harbor city and only a short hop over the border from Tijuana and Mexico.
The free and liberal vibe and reputation of San Francisco in the north (Most famous for Alcatraz and the Golden Gate Bridge) adds even more appeal.
Los Angeles, San Francisco and San Diego are just the beginning though as California is also home to amazing natural scenery like the majesty of‘El Capitan’ in Yosemite National Park to the Sierra Nevada’s around Bass Lake and the vistas of the Pacific Coast, particularly around Santa Barbara and, of course, the miles and miles of endless golden beaches.
The attitude, lifestyle and diversity of California make it a totally unique and must-see part of the USA.
