Central and Eastern European Language Basics

English is a often spoken and is understood as a second or third language amongst many Central and Eastern and Europeans, particularly those of the younger generations. As with anywhere you travel in the world, knowing at least a few words in the local language helps and a few of these words may be useful during your time in the Czech Republic, Poland, Hungary, or Slovenia

Recent Tips
For a great view of the city (especially at night) go to the top of the Eiffel Tower at Paris. It also offers a great vantage point for viewing the water show at the Bellagio.
I'm a Bondi local...it is always packed with people...if you're looking for a more chilled beach hang out, check out Tamarama, Coogee or Bronte beach, all 5-10mins from Bondi.
If you have a high-def video camera, be sure to take it on a hike with you to the bottom of the canyon. HD is the only way to bring out the gorgeous contrast of blue sky and red rock that you'll want to show everyone at home.
