Christmas Markets - Munich

During the month leading up to Christmas, the streets of Munich are filled with street markets filled with Christmas goods, lights, smells and atmosphere that combine to create an almost magical feel to the city center during the normally cold and snow-covered season. Often very popular until closing time around 8 or 9pm, similar markets can be found in Heidelberg, Berlin, Vienna and Innsbruck and other towns in Germany and Austria.

Some other suggestions, although not necessary - Travel pillow, chewing gum (especially for those who have ear problems during flight), book and/or ipod and one change of clothing (air lines do lose luggage occasionally)
The Tirol is one of the most beautiful parts of the world. If you visit Hopfgarten, visit the trout farm - you can catch a fish, then have it for lunch!
the eco lodge is SO fun, its kinda like a apartment with about 10-12 ish people in each cabin! make sure you head over to the dingo bar!
