The Country Homestead is a real, working cattle station on a property just inland from the Capricorn Coast of Queensland.
The cattle station is set on 12,000 hectares of land with about 6,000 head of cattle on the property. Not only are there the farm animals and all the workings of the cattle station, but also an abundance of native Australian wildlife in the surrounding bush.
A totally unique experience to Contiki, the Homestead itself was purpose built for Contiki Tours in 2008 and is totally dedicated to our East Coast tours.
While staying at the Homestead you have the opportunity to learn how to crack a whip, go on a hayride around the property and enjoy some hearty home cooked Aussie meals.
During the evening there is usually some entertainment planned otherwise you can chill out and relax outback style under the stars.
The Country Homestead is a one night stop on Contiki Tours traveling along the East Coast of Australia.
