A full day sailing trip is offered as an optional excursion when visiting the Whitsundays. This optional is a MUST. The Whitsundays is stunning!

Not only do you get to kick back in the nets of the catamaran and enjoy the stunning Whitsunday islands but you also get to visit Whitehaven Beach – one of the top 10 beaches in the world. Whitehaven Beach has 100% silica sand that is so amazing. (Handy hint: It is fantastic to clean your jewelery with.) You will also get a chance to swim or snorkel at some fringing reefs close to the islands and your snorkel gear is already on the boat and available for you to use.

Don’t worry if you haven’t snorkeled before – the friendly staff will give a demonstration and there are life jackets and wetsuits that you can wear.

You won’t be disappointed with the food either. You will receive morning and afternoon tea, a delicious BBQ lunch – full of fresh salads and chicken, steak or fish cooked in front of you. Beer, wine and soft drinks are also included. Alcohol is only served after 11am but in the afternoon, you can have a few drinks with your fellow travelers to celebrate a fantastic day…I promise it will be a highlight of your holiday.

Please note: Most Contiki Tour groups will go out on a catamaran called Camira. If, for some reason Camira is not available, then it will be replaced with a maxi yacht.

This is a full day optional excursion for people choosing to stay on Daydream Island during their time in the Whitsundays. The other option to staying on Long Island is to take the two night Sailing the Whitsundays option on Contiki’s Australia Tours.
