Dining options include the Hard Rock Cafe, Bubba Gump’s Shrimp Company, and Johnny Rockets, but it is highly recommended to try Boudin’s for their famous clam chowder-filled bread bowls.

San Francisco is known for crab, so if not Boudin’s, there are several outdoor stands where you can grab a crab cake sandwich. This is also a shoppers paradise. Cheap Alcatraz T-shirts or San Francisco Giants gear is all over the place. Sites to check out include the seals that reside there, a local celebrity – The World Famous Bushman (along with other street performers), and the Musee Mecanique, a museum of antique carnival games.

Fisherman’s Wharf is also only a brief walk to the Maritime Museum at Hyde Street Pier, the Powell-Hyde cable car line, and Alcatraz tour departures.
