George’s boat. Whether you just want to take a scenic cruise and relax by the beach or wish to experience all the fun filled aquatic activities, definitely do not miss George’s boat on Corfu – easily one of adventurous and memorable days on the European circuit. The day start with a cruise to the launch dock where all the various optional water activities take place. Some of the activities include parasailing, flyfish, molecule, donuts, water skiing, wakeboard and jet ski rentals.
Lunch is provided and enroute back home, George will take you to some of his favorite secluded swimming holes. Sometimes, two tours are scheduled for George’s boat on the same day and you get more playmates to enjoy the day with.

Georges Boat! He is the epitome of a sleazy, sex crazed Greek, but even lovelier and ridiculous all at the same time. You can’t go to Corfu and not participate in the water sports and cruising around the island with your best mates is simply heavenly….

For well over 30 years George (of George’s Boat fame) has been taking people on tours of his island home of Corfu in the North of Greece.
The day long cruises on George’s Boat are offered as an optional excursion on all Contiki tours visiting the island of Corfu and George takes it upon himself to tray and make the day the most memorable one people have on tour – a task at which he often succeeds.
The day is filled with not only swimming in the clear waters of Corfu but also the opportunity to stop off at the Corfu Ski Club and try some water sports, swim, hang out on the beach or enjoy watching others try and ride the likes of the ‘Flyfish’.
George’s son Nickos is also usually on hand to help out and during the peak of summer George will often run two boats on the same day – two boats, twice the people = loads of fun.
During the day there are number of swimming stops made in some of the more secluded spots around the island where the water is crystal clear while lunch is also included (there is always loads of food). George only uses fresh ingredients grown in his own backyard. His tzatziki (cucumber) dip being a favorite along with loads of olives, bread, ham, cheese, chips and salad.
Drinks are on offer during the day (the cost is extra – but like the rest of Greece, it’s inexpensive) and after lunch the bar is open. Geroge’s crew are always fun, helpful and make great frappe’s – one of the Corfu locals preferred beverages.
A day out on George’s boat is a fantastic way to see the island, get out, relax, have fun with your tour mates and swim in some awesome places. The day is also often a great recovery from a big night out at one of Corfu’s many party spots.
Sunscreen, a towel and swimmers are a must as well as an appetite for good food, good times, rest and relaxation.
George’s Boat is an optional excursion on the Greek island of Corfu and is offered on all Contiki European Tours visiting the island.

It was an absolutely fantastic day. Probably my favourite optional of my whole tour. Nothing better than a gorgeous day, fantastic people, pumpin’ music and crystal-clear water. The water sports were the icing on the cake too and, although hardly anyone stripped at Skinny Dippy Island, it was still great fun for those who did.

OMG!! George’s TZATZIKI!! Skinny dippy island was a bit of a let down, for us, as not many jumped in but it was a great day, and those chips!! What was on them?? I would go back there just for them if George wasn’t there anymore!! Not to mention the fact that the whether was gorgeous, and the group was having the best time!!
Totally the best option!! (Sorry to say it but better then the trip to the top of jungefrau mountain – in my opinion)..
