Historical Sites - Germany

The history or Germany goes back to the times of the Romans and has been shaped by war as well as internal, external, religious and imperial conflicts. The castles of the Rhine Valley and towns like Heidelberg provide a now romantic glimpse of medieval Germany and an age long past.
Berlin makes no attempt at all to hide its torrid past with sites such as the Berlin Wall remaining in the city as a reminder of its past. The Brandenburg Gate, Checkpoint Charlie, Berliner Dom, Alexanderplatz and Reichstag Building are also only just a few of the history-drenched sights of the city. A Berlin waling tour is an awesome way to see even more of the history that has affected not only Berlin and Germany, but Europe and the entire world.
As many of the large cities were destroyed during the Second World War, the cities to be rebuilt in their current, modern style. Enough however remains to provoke thought and awe at Germany’s rich history.
