How to get there: Catch a taxi from Corfu Airport direct to the hotel. Approximate cost should be around €40. If arriving by ferry, taxis can be found in the Old Town area a short walk away & will also cost around €40.

If you have a high-def video camera, be sure to take it on a hike with you to the bottom of the canyon. HD is the only way to bring out the gorgeous contrast of blue sky and red rock that you'll want to show everyone at home.
For ladies I would definitely recommend finding some slightly nicer than normal black flats... I bought some in Prague for super cheap and still wear them all the time!
Definitely worth doing if you are in any way interested in Ancient Rome - the guide is a wealth of knowledge.
