There are plenty of great spots along the East Coast of Australia to surf, but we think (as the name suggests) that Surfers Paradise is just the place for our passengers to learn the art of this Australian pastime. At Surfers Paradise, there is a stretch of amazing beaches that runs for a good 40 km and your surf instructors know the safest beaches with the best waves for learners.
Don’t be shy when you are in your lesson – it’s not as hard as it looks and you’ll probably be standing within 2-3 hours. The instructors are fun and you use long boards that are easier to learn on. Hitting the salt water in the morning is also the best hangover cure should you have partied too hard the night before!
‘Learn to Surf’ is an optional excursion offered on Australian Tours visiting Surfers Paradise and the Gold Coast.
