Montreal is a fantastic place for nightlife; in fact it is one of the things that the city is known for.

Streets such as St. Catherine and Crescent are lined with bars and restaurants, and if you head up to St. Live music is another great way to spend an evening; jazz is a definite celebrated form in Montreal.

Head over to Crescent Street or Saint Laurent Blvd. Or if it’s a nice Saturday evening, there’s also Club 737 occupying 2 floors and the top deck of Place Ville Marie where you can see all of Montreal from 46 stories up. Strict dress code (no shorts/jeans/sneakers). 10 pm – 3 am. If you arrive late … then you will be waiting forever.

If you wanted to skip the bar and club scene, a fun way to spend an evening is to head to down to the old port, and snap some night photos of Montreal’s old stone buildings. Montreal Casino is another option and is reachable by the metro.

Drinking Age

The legal drinking age within Montreal and the Province of Quebec is 18 years which is a little younger than the legal age restrictions in many other parts of North America.
