Possibly the finest example of Gothic architecture anywhere in the world, this amazing church resides in the heart of Paris. Taking over 180 years to complete it has borne witness to over 650 years of the city’s turbulent history – from Napoleon’s coronation to royal weddings and was also home to Victor Hugo’s fictional ‘Hunchback of Notre Dame’.
Free to go inside and look around at he amazing architecture and stained glass, you can also climb the stairs of the famed towers for great views over the city and the chance to get up close and personal with the Cathedral’s gargoyles.
