Paddington is the area for serious shoppers. Paddington’s ‘Golden Mile’ along Oxford Street features some of Australia’s great designer stores including Wayne Cooper, Marcs and Morrisey.
Arthurs Pizza is an institution amongst the locals and if you are after a piece of Australian art, make sure you pop into Dinosaur Design where handicraft, resin homeware and jewelry are on offer.
It’s worth planning your visit to Paddington on a Saturday when the Paddington Markets take place.
Paddington is a short walk from the city center or bus 380 or 378 take you straight up Oxford Street into Paddington – just get off when the shops look interesting.

A tip for people looking for a decent coffee shop.. if you don't already know about it, you will because most Contiki travellers find out about it - its The Grasshopper. Ask a local and they should be able to tell you where to find it.
The trolley tour of Boston, offered as an optional, is the best way to see the entire city. Take it at your own pace, but I would suggest stopping off at the USS Constitution and Fenway.
MOMA is well worth a visit, and if you're short on cash, has free entry between 4pm-8pm on Friday nights. It does get very crowded though...
