Poutine is one of eastern Canada’s favourite snacks.

The most traditional way to serve the dish is by smothering hot french fries in gravy then topping it off with real cheese curds. Available in almost every fast food outlet in cities like Toronto , Montreal and Quebec City, the cheese curd is often substituted with regular cheese. Although often found as a side dish, many Canadians generally find poutine more appealing during the very early hours of the morning.
