In Argentina and Peru the voltage is 220-240v. In the parts of Brazil that we will be visiting, the voltage is usually 110v although some hotels may have 220v plugs. If you are from a country with different voltage, you will need a transformer and possibly also an adaptor. Some travel transformers are also adapters and for ease of use these are recommended instead of buying a separate transformer and adaptor.
The two types of electric outlets that you find in Argentina are:
- Type C – European 2-pin Electrical outlet
- Type I – Australian outlet
The two types of electric outlets that you find in both Brazil and Peru are:
- Type A North American/Japanese 2-blade
- Type C – European 2-pin Electrical outlet
