Even though you are on holiday it is essential that you are conscious of your personal security while you travel. Generally it’s best to keep valuables such as your passport, credit cards, money and camera on you most of the time.

Money belts, security pouches and the like a highly recommended.

Contiki does not accept responsibility for items that have been left behind at hotels and the like.

If there are areas or places on your tour where you should be particularly cautious, your Tour Manager will let you know what extra precautions you should take.

  1. Do not travel with ONLY a credit card and/or debit card. Why? Cards can become demagnetized or lost or maybe even a crafty squirrel might grab it out of your backpack and scamper over the rim of the Grand Canyon. The bottom line is that you should have some cash or traveler’s checks to fall back on in case of an unfortunate inconvenience involving your plastic.
