Although only a small country, Slovenia is blessed with beautiful and diverse lands filled with Alps, mountains, lakes, vineyards, the Adriatic coast, forests, plains and hills.
Part of the former Yugoslavia, the Slovenes are by far the most relaxed people of the former Slavic bloc and often appear to have more in common with the western Europeans than their Slavic neighbors.
