The Royal Mile in Edinburgh is a stretch of four ancient streets between Castlehill to Canongate which formed the main thoroughfare of medieval Edinburgh. The Royal Mile is home to the new Scottish Parliament House, St Giles Cathedral and the Palace of Holyroodhouse (the Queen’s official Scottish Residence) among others.
