More Tour and Travel Advice for Australia

by – Tash, Tour Manager, Australia and Europe

Unlike North America and Europe, tipping is not super important in Australia. Tipping is something Australians give for good service. If you are satisfied with a meal and wait staff in a restaurant, a quick taxi ride back to the hotel or in the way your Tour Manager and driver have run the tour…..feel free to give them a tip to let them know how pleased you are with their service.

  2. As an Australian I thought I would mention that tipping is not customary here. Many places also do not allow their staff to accept tips. Some places you may find a tip jar (coffee shops, small food shops) however it is not compulsory. :)

  3. I typically tip 18-20% for good service here in the US, what is proper in Australia?
