By train: You can take the train from Nereng (in Surfers paradise) back through to Brisbane city and even through to the domestic and international airport. This service goes every half hour and in peak times there are express trains. From Surfers Paradise there are buses that the Surfers Paradise transit Centre that connect with the trains departing from Nereng Station. See www.citytrain.comau for further information.

By bus: You can catch a direct with Greyhound from The Surfers Paradise Transit centre to Brisbane city or the domestic and international terminals.
