Luggage weight & size limits in New Zealand
Last Updated: 18th Jun 2013
More Tour and Travel Advice for New Zealand
On Contiki New Zealand Tours baggage is restricted to one (non-expanding) reasonably sized suitcase. Metal framed backpacks and vanity cases are not permitted as they may damage others luggage during transit. You may also bring one carry on bag.
On tours with included flights as part of the itinerary, you’ll need to make sure your luggage doesn’t exceed the weight restrictions imposed by airlines. Contiki is not responsible for any costs incurred for overweight luggage.
For information regarding airline luggage fees & limits, please visit our comprehensive list linking to airline websites and their specific luggage restrictions.

The Estuary is easily accessible with several feeder bus services. For vehicle owners, a drive from The Estuary to the business hub or the vibrant Orchard Shopping District is barely 15-20 minutes via the Seletar Expressway (SLE) and Central Expressway (CTE).

I did an american tour last year that was 4 weeks and they didnt check how much the suitcases weigh or how big they are…there isnt really any time to do that! It should be no more then 20kgs and a reasonable size so that everyones suitcase will fit! Dont stress too much because I did and some people had small bags some had bigger ones but they all fit :)

I’m going on the NZ trip and every suitcase owned by me or my family is expanding because we find that easier so never buy anything else. It is actually a great way to compact the luggage by closing it while expanded then re-zipping the expansion part back to the usual size which is much easier to do after it is closed. website

Do I have to go out and buy another case or will they be willing to trust that I will promise no to use the small expansion part – cases are expensive!
