The last time I tried to stay at this hotel, it was already packed. I was lucky to find Gatwick hotel and parking for the night and managed to join the tour, but booking a room several days earlier would have saved me a lot of trouble.

Hotel Pennsylvania is about the cheapest place to get a real hotel room (cheaper than alot of hostels). Thing is, it’s a coin flip as to the quality of the room.

A tip for people looking for a decent coffee shop.. if you don't already know about it, you will because most Contiki travellers find out about it - its The Grasshopper. Ask a local and they should be able to tell you where to find it.
I've found from experience the best and most reliable brand of adaptors for Australian travellers is Korjo. Check out www.korjo.com
MOMA is well worth a visit, and if you're short on cash, has free entry between 4pm-8pm on Friday nights. It does get very crowded though...
